music ..... without understanding the language, the listener might understand the settings, emotions and skills involved.

having said that, it can go both ways. be energised or sadden by the feelings poured in as intended or be bored or restless by the lack of interpretation.... i think i might have said somewhat similar stuff after Andre's nite.

the right mix of percussionists and musicians... once again... i am impressed by the instruments i dun usually pay super attention to.
It was the flute at Bocelli's and now, it's the trumpet... one of them did a nice rendition and I tawt his cheeks might burst anytime....

a surprise especially when i went without having a clue who they were, wat lang they use and how starry were they to be closing a festival....

after a while, it became a bit restless and well, monotonous.... guess the vocalist wasnt that wow-ing and it became more apparant at the ending....
not because he was falling asleep (while i was already otw fishing) or losing watever drive he had from the beginning (while i was already fidgeting) .....
but there was comparison....

a fella pop up from the audience.... the composer's fren i guess. myb some hoo-hah famous fella from the loud cheers....as before, he noe me , i dunno him....
he took over the mic as a impromptu singer and well... all hell broke loose....
he was energetic, powerful, engaging and suddenly the beat was grooving.... his simple dance steps were full of live....
the original singer paled in comparison...
the pop-per made the song proud... in fact the music genre proud.....
original vocalist was upstaged by the unknown....

the upbeat feel was the reason why i tawt the music was going to be like....
but it never became so until too late and near the finale....
